Pittsburgh's Grand Hall is now pleased to exclusively offer our couples the opportunity for their very own professionally-developed wedding website. Couples can choose from a variety of pages to reflect their personal taste and need. The resulting 6-page website can then be sent as a link in an email or included in print material.

No domain names to purchase. No programming knowledge needed. You simply supply the photos you choose in digital format with the text to complete the various pages - email them and the designer does the rest!


The Pittsburgh's Grand Hall Bridesite is a mix of HTML programming and Macromedia Flash animation valued at over $1500.00. We offer this service exclusively to our couples for just $250.00.


You can send the site address in a link to all your invited guests, friends, and family so they can share your photos, stories, thoughts leading up to your big day. It can deliver useful travel and lodging information, as well, whenever it's needed.


Bridesite Instructions and Guidelines

Please note - Do not contact the offices of Pittsburgh's Grand Hall with questions regarding a Bridesite or its development. If you have questions, please refer ALL correspondence to the following email:

To get started:

Send an email to the address above to notify the designer of the 5 additional page types you have chosen (Bride's Page, Registry, etc.) and that your text and photos are on the way. When initiating correspondence regarding your site identify yourself with your last name and the date of your wedding in the subject line of your email.

For example. If your last name is "Smith" and you're to be married on December 11th 2004 then all correspondence regarding your site should contain "Smith121104" in the subject line.

Next:

Gather all photos you would like displayed on the website and name them so that it is clear on which page they belong. They must be in digital format (on a disc, taken by a digital camera, or converted by a scanner). Create a folder on your computer and place copies of all photos in that folder. Use a compression program (WinZip, StuffIt, etc.) if possible to reduce the folder size.

Then:

Write the text for the pages that you have chosen. This text can be in any digital format. (i.e. Microsoft Word, Notepad, etc.) Designate these files so that it is clear to the designer on which page the text belongs.

Finally:

Email your photo folder and all text files to bridesite@pittsburghsgrandhall.com. Expect to wait about 5-7 days for your site to be complete. You will notified via email when you site is ready to be viewed online.
Here's what your 6-page website will include:

HOME PAGE - Your site begins with a beautifully designed Home Page which prominently displays the wedding date, ceremony site, reception site, and a photo. Your site's web address will be www.pittsburghsgrandhall.com/Your Last Name . Example: Our demo bridesite can be viewed at www.pittsburghsgrandhall.com/smith

In addition, You choose 5 of the following 9 pages types:

PHOTOS PAGE - Couples can display up to six photos of themselves, friends or family. Photos are shown as thumbnails which then enlarge to a full version (300 x 220 pixels). You don't need to crop, resize, or try to recolor your images in any way. Our experienced designer takes care of all of that for you.

THE BRIDE'S PAGE (with photo) - The bride can offer something about herself - a biography, special thoughts, thank yous, etc.

THE GROOM'S PAGE (with photo) - The groom's page can include the same - anything interesting or informative about the groom-to-be.

OUR STORY (with couple's photo) - Tell the story of how you met, how he proposed, etc.

TOURISM - This page has been pre-designed and written for you. (view here). We include information about the city as well as links to entertainment, the arts, recreation, etc. Included is a animated photo slideshow showcasing the city. This page is perfect for a couple expecting out-of-town guests.

LODGING - Also for the benefit of traveling guests, you can include information about accommodations - hotel contact information, pertinent phone numbers, directions, reservation instructions, etc.

THE SHOWER - Display up to 6 photos of from the Bridal Shower and include a brief description of the day, thank yous, etc.

THE BRIDAL PARTY - Introduce your bridal party to all your guests and friends by displaying short bios and a group photo if you so choose.

REGISTRY - Aid your guests by displaying clickable links which tastefully direct them to your gift registry. Just provide us with the names and locations of the stores at which you are registered and we will do the rest.
